Award Categories
A business plan with prototype to showcase the innovative technology, product, or service model is required to apply for nomination according to each of the following five fields.
1. Green Technology
Examples of green technology subject areas
A. Green Energy: perhaps the most urgent issue for green technology, this includes the development of alternative fuels, new means of generating energy and energy efficiency.
B. Green building: it encompasses everything from the choice of building materials to where a building is located.
C. Green chemistry: the invention, design and application of chemical products and processes to reduce or to eliminate the use and generation of hazardous substances.
2. Biotechnology
Modern biotechnology provides breakthrough products and technologies to combat debilitating and rare diseases, reduce our environmental footprint, feed the hungry, use less and cleaner energy, and have safer, cleaner and more efficient industrial manufacturing processes.
3. Internet, Mobile & Cloud Computing
Mobile internet refers to access to the Internet via a cellular telephone service provider. Cloud computing is a technology that uses the internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications. It allows consumers and businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files at any computer with internet access. This technology allows for much more efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth.
4. Culture & Creativity
The creative industries refer to a range of economic activities which are concerned with the generation or exploitation of knowledge and information. They may also be referred to as the cultural industries or the creative economy, comprising advertising, architecture, art, crafts, design, fashion, film, music, performing arts, publishing, R&D, software, toys and games, TV and radio, and video games.
5. Social Enterprise
A social enterprise is an organization that applies commercial strategies to maximize improvements in human and environmental well-being, rather than maximizing profits for external shareholders. Social enterprises can be structured as a for-profit or non-profit, and may take the form of a co-operative, mutual organization, a social business, or a trading charity which pursues social responsibility directly, or raises funds for charitable projects. Social enterprises are differentiated through transparent evidence that their social aims are primary, and that profits are secondary.

Teams
1. Every champion team from each country/region’s entrepreneurship campaign, could be invited to attend 2013 GlobalTiC Talentrepreneur Award and Form.
2. The age of entrepreneurs of all contestant teams should be less than 36 years old, and participant can form teams to take part in the competition by the way of multi-school or inter-department. years innovation teams that had organized official for-profit institution (company or business incubator center) or non for-profit institution (juridical person or association)
3. The number of teammates per team can vary from a minimum of one and a maximum of ten members, whom have to allocate one of the following roles:
Note: If is just one member, this must be the CEO.
GlobalTiC Staffs, Officials, Board of Directors, and sponsors, as well as their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Judges
1. Judges from the world will participate in 2013 GlobalTiC Talentrepreneur Award Finals evaluating Teams.
2. Judges will be experienced and whose skill sets make them amply qualified to carry out the judging of business/project plans and other materials submitted by Teams of 2013 GlobalTiC Talentrepreneur Award.
3. Judges will score the projects according to the judging criteria and templates in these Rules and Terms of Reference.
4. Judges will provide feedback to assist the participating teams in identifying areas for improvement.
5. Judges will each arrive at their scores independently and will not discuss their scores or opinions with other individuals or judges.
6. Judges agree to score Teams fully and impartially based on the technical quality and presentation of the business/project plan and the Team's performance during the competition and without regard to nationality, age, education or other discriminatory factors.
7. All judges agree to terms of confidentiality prior to judging the business/project plans, and they agree to abide by the GlobalTiC Talentrepreneur Award Rules and Terms of Reference established and published by GlobalTiC Association.
8. Team Mentors cannot be judges. Mentors and judges may not represent the same institution or organization. If this is unavoidable, they should remove themselves from judging that Team.
Mentor
1. All Teams can invite one or more mentors with no restriction regarding age, nationality, experience, or education of the mentors.
2. Mentors can support team members during the preparation by answering questions, providing industry and technical experience, helping with organizational strategy, reviewing business plan, evaluating team presentation, and facilitating the networks necessary for long-term success of the startup.
Prizes
1. Each champion team of the five field awards will be awarded with $3,000 USD
2. Best CEO, the winner is selected from all contestant teams will be awarded with $1,000 USD
3. Best Commercial Film, the winner is nominated from all contestant teams will be awarded with $1,000 USD
4. Best Exhibition, the winner is selected from all contestant teams will be awarded with $1,000 USD
5. Prize no.2~ no.4 can be awarded repeatedly to certain teams
6. Each of team members who fully participate (August 19-23) in 2013 GlobalTiC Talentrepreneur Award and Forum will get a certificate of competition.
7. Each champion teams will be award with certificate of award and trophy as a prize.
Registration

1. Team Introduction Form: you can download the template from the “REGISTRATION” section on 2013award.GlobalTiC.org
2. Recommendation letter: team get the document from government authorities (ex, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Youth, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or Presidential House, etc.) to prove your team is the national representative.
3. Business Plan: the presentation files (Microsoft PowerPoint) is within 15 pages, including summary, team introduction, market visibility, corporate organization, financial analysis, etc.
4. Certificate of winning team: it can be from TiC Taiwan, TIC Americas, TiC Mongolia, or any other proven national or regional entrepreneurship or business competitions.
5. 2 minutes commercial film, team must upload the file to the Dropbox.com then send the download hyperlink to below contact windows.
After submitted above No.1-5 items to [email protected], please MUST sign up online and finish the registration before 11:59PM, July 26, 2013 (Taiwan time) in “REGISTRATION” on 2013award.GlobalTiC.org.

- Chief Financial Officer (CTO)

- During the 2013 GlobalTiC Talentrepreneur Award Forum, GlobalTiC Association will cover the local expenses (ONLY including August 19-23, 2013 Hotel accommodation, lunches, and local transportation between meeting venue and Hotel). All other expenses not mentioned are responsibility of team
- Extra team members are welcome but should pay at your own expenses.
2. 2013 TiC Taiwan teams
- GlobalTiC Association will take care of food and accommodation for THREE (3) people per team during the August 19-23, 2013 of 2013 GlobalTiC official schedule.
